Spectra 10K Library Preventative Maintenance Guide
Preparing the Library
1.
Use your backup software to remove all tapes from the library, noting which tapes
were in which slots.
2.
Shut off all power to the library.
3.
Shut down the host system and switch off the power.
4.
Remove the library’s AC power cord from the AC power outlet.
5.
Carefully remove SCSI cable connections from the back of the library.
6.
Move the library to a clean work space with plenty of room, so that you have access
to all sides of the library.
