6 Troubleshooting
If the Mulcher malfunctions, search the causes and the solution of the problems in the following table:
Problem Cause Remedy
Excessive cutting of the
product to be cut Mulcher too low
Slightly raise the Mulcher from
the ground, adjusting the
height
Forward speed too slow Increase the forward speed
Limited cutting of the material
to be cut
Mulcher too high
Slightly lower the Mulcher from
the ground, adjusting the
height
Forward speed too high Reduce the forward speed
Terrain too wet or muddy Wait for the terrain to dry
Rotor clogging
Terrain too wet or muddy Wait for the terrain to dry
Mulcher too low Raise the Mulcher from the ground
Forward speed too high Reduce the forward speed
Drop in rotor speed Belt overheating Adjust belt tension
The Mulcher bounces on the
ground or vibrates
Foreign bodies stuck between the
teeth
Clean the rotor and teeth
Teeth mounted incorrectly,
without the helical layout or with
the edge penetrating the terrain
Check and re-install the teeth
Worn or broken teeth Replace the teeth
Deformation of the rotor due to
foreign bodies having hit the
central part
Replace the rotor. Contact the
Spearhead service centre
