Setup and connection
•
Place the splitter on a flat, level surface.
• Turn off the devices that you want to connect to the splitter (signal source and playback
device).
Connection diagram
• Connect the HDMI input (
HDMI IN 1
, 25) to the HDMI output on your HDMI signal source (e.g.
a Blu-Ray™ player or games console) using an HDMI cable (not included). The length of the
HDMI cable should not exceed 8 m.
• Connect another HDMI signal source to the other HDMI input (
HDMI IN 2
(24)). You can use
the remote control to change the input signal.
• Connect the four HDMI outputs (
HDMI OUT 1
(23) to
HDMI OUT 4
(20)) to your display
devices (e.g. TV or monitor) using HDMI cables (not included).
• Connect the round plug on the power adapter to the
5V/DC, 2 A
(26) socket on the HDMI
splitter. Connect the power adapter to a suitable mains socket.
• Connect the signal sources and the display devices to a power source and turn them on.
• To send the audio signal to external speakers, connect the
R
(18) and
L
(19) cinch sockets
to a pair of suitable active speakers.
Setup and operation
• Turn on the HDMI splitter by pressing the
ON/OFF
button (1). The standby
LED
(2) and all
display LEDs will turn on briefly. The previous configuration will be retained and indicated by
the LEDs that remain switched on. Only the
ARC
LED (10) will be reset to the default setting.
The splitter is now ready to use. The
HDMI OUT
(20, 21, 22, 23) LEDs will turn on when a
signal is transmitted through the corresponding output.
a) Changing the operating mode
• To play an HDMI audio signal through active speakers, press the
ARC
button (4). The
ARC
LED (10) will turn on to indicate that Audio Return Channel mode is enabled.
• Press the
ARC
button again to disable ARC mode. The
ARC
LED (10) will turn off.
ARC can only be enabled when the
HDMI OUT 4 ARC
output (20) is in use. Other
HDMI outputs do not support this mode.
b) Changing the input signal
• Press the HDMI
Switch
button (3) to select the input signal. The
IN1
or
IN2
(9) LED will turn
on to indicate the selected input.
• Press the
Video
button (5) to select the video mode. You can choose from three modes:
PASS, 4K and 3D. The corresponding LED will turn on to indicate the selected mode.
• Press the
Audio
button (6) to select the audio mode. You can choose from three modes:
2.0CH, 5.1CH, and ADV. The corresponding LED will turn on to indicate the selected mode.
Using the remote control
a) Initial setup
• Turn on the splitter using the
ON/OFF
switch (1) (see "Setup and connection").
• Remove the plastic strips to connect the battery to the remote control. Store the plastic strips
in a safe place and insert them back into their original position if you do not plan to use the
remote control for a long period of time.
b) Changing the battery
• Change the battery when the splitter stops responding to the remote control (and you are
sure that the infrared sensor (8) is clean and that there are no obstructions).
• Remove the battery holder from the remote control.
• Remove the used battery (if applicable).
• Insert a 3 V CR2025 battery into the battery compartment, making sure that you pay attention
to the polarity markings (plus/+ and minus/-). Refer to the diagram on the back of the remote
control.
c) Button functions

Your display device must support HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control)
if you want to use ARC mode. Refer to your TV's instruction manual for more
information on how to enable CEC. In addition, ensure that you are using an
HDMI cable that is compatible with HDMI 1.4. If you cannot hear any sound,
restart your devices and try again.
2.0CH
Press the
2.0CH
button to enable the LPCM 2.0 audio format. The LED
2.0CH
indicator (16) will turn on.
5.1CH
Press the
5.1CH
button to enable the Dolby-AC3, DTS and LPCM 2.0 audio
formats. The LED
5.1CH
indicator (15) will turn on.
ADV
Press the
ADV
button to enable automatic audio format detection (Dolby-AC3,
DTS and LPCM 2.0). The LED
ADV
indicator (14) will turn on. The splitter will
detect the audio codecs that are supported by the output device and request the
data from the signal source in the best supported format.
4K*2K
Press the
4K*2K
button to set the 4K video resolution to 3840 x 2160/30Hz.
The
4K
LED indicator (12) will turn on. The splitter will request a 4K video signal
from the signal source. If the signal source cannot deliver a 4K signal, a lower
resolution will be used.
3D
Press the
3D
button to set the 4K video resolution to 1080p/3D. The
3D
LED
indicator (13) will turn on. The splitter will request a 3D video signal from the
signal source.
PASS
Press the
PASS
button to enable the splitter to read EDID data from a connected
display device. The
PASS
LED indicator (11) will turn on.
The splitter will read the EDID data from the display device (e.g. monitor) and
send it to the video signal source. The video signal will then be transmitted to the
display device using the highest supported resolution.
You may need to restart the signal source in order for it to respond to EDID data. If
there is no response after pressing an EDID button, restart the signal source and try
again.
