Use a suitable HDMI cable not exceeding 20 m in length. Cables of greater length
can cause signal disturbances or no signal will be transmitted at all.
When choosing a cable, please note that there are different types of HDMI cables.
In case of doubt, consult a professional for further information.
• Connect the power adapter plug to the 5V/DC, 2A connection.
• Connect the power adapter to a wall socket. The status LED Power lights up red.
• Connect all connected devices to the power supply.
• Begin playback from one input device and turn on the HDMI output device. The other input
device must remain off, otherwise the audio signal, if present, will be channeled into the
HDMI signal.
• Use the SELECT key on the product or the corresponding key on the IR remote control to
select the desired input source. The corresponding LED lights up green.
- IN1: VGA
- IN2: YPbPr
• The LED OUT lights up green when the HDMI output device is active.
• Push the 720/1080P key to set the desired HDMI output resolution.
Tips and notes
• On your computer, set an image refresh rate of 60 Hz for the analog VGA output. Higher
values can cause malfunctioning (no picture, image interference, etc.).
• Depending on the analog VGA signal resolution, your connected monitor may display a
distorted picture if the aspect ratio between the VGA signal and monitor does not match. If
possible, set another resolution for the VGA output on your operating system that allows an
aspect ratio of roughly 16:9 (i.e. 1280 x 720).
• The product functions independently of your operating system, no software or drivers are
necessary. Thus, the product can be operated with many other devices that provide a VGA
video signal.
• Due to the great number of resolutions possible via an analog VGA output, it is possible that
some are not supported. If this is the case, try setting another resolution on your computer.
• If your computer has more than one video output, make sure that the VGA output is activated
and supplies a picture.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
Status LED does not light up.
Check all cable connections.
The output device shows no picture or the
picture is out of focus.
Make sure that the input device and
output device are turned on and correctly
connected to the toggle switch.
Check if the connection cables are
defective and replace them if necessary.
The remote control does not respond.
Check if the plastic protective strip was
removed.
Replace the battery.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Before cleaning, disconnect the product from the connected devices and unplug it from the
power outlet.
• There are no components located inside the product you need to maintain. Never open/
dismantle the product.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• To clean the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. Do not apply too much pressure
to the housing as this may cause scratch marks.
• You can easily remove dust using a long-haired, soft and clean brush.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable
regulatory guidelines.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from
the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals
involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable)
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality,
our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
