1.
INTRODUCTION
The
TURBINE
170
is
a
filtering
device
that
protects
the
respiratory
tract.
The
ventilation
unit
which
is
carried
on
the
belt
takes
in
air
through
a
filter
and
expels
it
(filtered)
through
a
pipe
into
a
hood,
a
helmet
or
a
mask.
The
flow
of
filtered
air
creates
a
positive
pressure
inside
the
hood/helmet/mask
and
impedes
the
entry
of
external
contaminated
air
into
the
operator’s
breathing
area.
The
continuous
flow
of
air
facilitates
breathing
and
impedes
the
visor
from
steaming
up,
therefore
ensuring
maximum
comfort
for
the
operator.
In
order
to
obtain
maximum
protection
it
is
necessary
to
choose
the
correct
combination
of
the
TURBINE
170
ventilation
set,
with
filter,
hood,
helmet
or
mask.
Please
consult
the
following
tables
for
the
possible
combinations
of
hood/helmet/mask
and
for
the
protection
levels
offered
by
various
filters.
