3. Remove the cutout tab shown below using a pair of snipe nose pliers.

Use pliers to enlarge the hole shown here
by prying out the inner ring.
4. Adhere the hardwood data plate over the top of the softwood data plate
found in the lower half of the appliance.
4.5 INSTALLING THE FAN ASSEMBLY
There are two components to the fan assembly that need to be installed into
the fire prior to use.
1. Remove the top panel (shaded grey below).
2. Remove the back panel by loosening (not removing) the bolts. Lift it
upwards to disengage it from the 8 pins (4 per side) that hold it securely
onto the fire. Open the front door below the glass.

3. Slide the back fan unit assembly in (shown grey below) and attach with 6
self-tapping screws, circled below.
