Shut off valve procedure
Closing: T
he valve shaft has two ”pins” that fit into grooves in the lock, press down firmly and lock by
twisting the handle clockwise. It is important the pins are first firmly seated into the grooves, or the lock
can break.
Opening:
Twist the handle counter-clockwise and pull the handle upwards. To ensure the valve remains in
open position you can use a clip to prevent it closing.
Press the handle down into the grooves
Twist the handle (clockwise) to close the valve
completely
Open position
A “locking clip” can be added to hold the valve in
open position.
