Example 3 - Linking Several ProTrackers
in detail
This example illustrates how several
Pro
Tracker units are
linked together to create a system with a large number
of channels.
The units are daisy-chained together, with the
EXPAND OUT on one unit linked to the EXPAND IN
on the next. Each
Pro
tracker may be connected to a
recording machine via the local Tape Sends and
Returns. The limiter may be switched in on any chan-
nels, with the threshold set locally by the LIMIT
THRESHOLD on each
Pro
Tracker unit.
A tape monitor mix may be created on the last
Pro
Tracker unit, which is a sum of all tracks. In addi-
tion the Aux Send and PFL signals are summed to the
last unit.
The monitor mix may be recorded to DAT or cassette
at a n4dBu (on the Mix O/P XLR connectors)
or at -10dBV (on the Mix O/P phono jacks)
