Maintenance manual
4.1
Foreword
“Routine Maintenance” refers to the various operations that do not require
specific skills for their safe execution. The operations described in headings
4.2, 4.3 and 4.4 are construed as routine maintenance work.
Routine maintenance as described in headings 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 and in other
places where the operations are expressly defined as routine maintenance,
can be carried out by the machine operator on the condition that the
instructions in the present handbook are followed to the letter.
All other work is construed as “special maintenance” and must be carried
out by qualified personnel with specific training or, if so specified in this
handbook, by personnel from the Manufacturer’s company.
The telephone number of the manufacturer is shown at the foot of each
page in this handbook; the telefax and telex numbers are given on the cover
page.

Weekly maintenance
Make a visual inspection of outfeed belt tension (check whether it slips or
not during work) and adjust the devices ref. 5 Photo 2 at the end of it to set
the desired tension.
4.4
Three-monthly maintenance
z
Grease the chains, gears and bearings using AGIP Grease-MU/2 or equi-
valent.

Check for signs of belt wear; replace belts as necessary. Belts should be
replaced at the minimum sign of damage or wear.
Important
ALL MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OPERATIONS MUST BE CAR-
RIED OUT ONLY AFTER THE MAIN SWITCH, ref. 4 Photo 2, HAS
BEEN SET TO POSITION “O” AND THE MACHINE HAS BEEN
UNPLUGGED FROM THE ELECTRICAL SOCKET.
