Using the Signage Web Manager
A maximum of 1,000 files can be played with
Local Playout. Each file can be no larger than
2 GB in size. If a folder containing more than
1,000 files is specified, content will not
playout.
Play
Starts playout of the selected content or of
the content files in the folder specified in
“Play file/folder name.” The “Play” button
lights green during playout. However, the
light does not turn off automatically when
content playout ends. If you want to play
content again, click the “Stop” button before
clicking the “Play” button again.
The “Play” button is disabled during content
download.
Stop
Stops content playout that was initiated by
clicking the “Play” button.
Play file/folder name
Specifies the playout location for content
files stored on an SDHC Memory Card
inserted in the memory card slot on the
player. You can either enter the location in
the text box or click the “Browse” button
and select the file or folder location on the
screen that appears. If a folder is specified,
the content in any subfolders is also played.
Only still images and videos can be
specified. If a folder containing more than
1,000 files is specified with the “Browse”
button, only 1,000 files will be displayed in
the list, and an error code will appear at the
bottom right.
Always include a slash (/) at the end of a
folder location specification.
Names that are identical to file names that
exist in the folder cannot be used for the
folder name.
Files are played in ASCII code order. We
recommend using ASCII characters when
naming files and folders.
Recognition of file names and folder names is
guaranteed for ASCII characters only.
Repeat
Select this check box to repeatedly play the
content specified in “Play file/folder name.”
Auto Start
This setting specifies whether content
playout should start automatically when you
connect the power cord. In combination with
the ON timer of the display, this also allows
automatic playout at a scheduled time.
To enable the function, select this check box.
Content files stored on an SDHC Memory
Card inserted in the memory card slot on the
player will play automatically.
Still Image Duration
Specifies the time interval before switching
to the next content.
This setting is active only for still images;
the playout duration takes priority for video.
Audio
Lets you specify audio (background music)
to be played during content playout. Only
music files (or folders containing music
files) stored on an SDHC Memory Card
inserted in the memory card slot on the
player can be used for this function. If a
folder is specified, the music files stored in
any subfolders are also played.
You can either enter the file name in the text
box, or enter the folder name, click the
“Browse” button, and specify the file on the
screen that appears. Audio is automatically
played in repeat mode. You can leave “Play
file/folder name” blank to play only audio
content.
The display will remain black during audio-
only playout from the player.
If a folder containing more than 1,000 files is
specified with the “Browse” button, only
1,000 files will be displayed in the list, and
an error code will appear at the bottom right.
Always include a slash (/) at the end of a
folder location specification.
Names that are identical to file names that
exist in the folder cannot be used for the
folder name.
Check to use background music during
video playback (video audio will be
muted)
When this check box is selected, audio
(background music) will be applied during
sequential playout to any existing video
files, and the original audio included in the
video files will be muted.
