The block also has a function to drive the VCOM from
CXA3512R to LCD panel, that is controlled by
RVCOM; output from the Control D/A Block.
Mentioning G, or B panel driver block will be elimi-
nated since it is the same to “R” stated on the above.
4-6-3. Control System
Control system includes Main CPU (IC5021), DAC
(IC5231) for I/O expansion that is for DDC switching
controlled by CPU through IIC bus, and circuits to write
the Software in the Main CPU and the Scan Converter
(IC5227, IC5230) through RS232C.
Note : When writing software through RS232C, use
the computer which installs write only
software and at the same time operate S5001
to the side “RSON”.
In turn when finished, set S5001 to the “RS
OFF”.
Main functions of the Main CPU are 3 channels of IIC Bus
(400k*1, 100k*2) to control each major IC, 1 channel of
SIRCS to input the remote control, 3 channels of UART to
communicate using RS232C protocol (For RS232C, Scan
converter, WinCE ), lens motor control, key in from the
control panel, LED control/output, such miscellaneous
protector inputs as lamp power, cover, temperature, and
cooling fan, and controls for cooling fan and lamp power,
etc.
With these functions the Main CPU realizes operation of
power sequence of the set, set operation through remote
control panel and sorts of protector operation.
