4-4-1-5. Run-away Countermeasure of the Lamp
Power Supply
There possibly arises a case of emitting a fume or firing
because of run-away of the lamp power sources during
power sources of the set circuits being at stand-by.
Such is that the lamp power source does not light the lamp
ON, or oppositely the power source lights the lamp.

In the state of stand-by all the Fans for the lamp are
not working the. Therefore if the lamp is lit, the
temperature fuse (working temperature is 98 ±2
d
C)
implemented on the lamp side is made open.

The relay RY1000 is made open as the VCC from the
circuits power are not supplied to the circuits.

Current 0.78 A approx. flows into the temperature
fuse R1000 itself.
Inside the R1000 is melted down due to the internal
loss of the R1000 or due to the above current.
As the result, the R1000 is made open immediately.

R1000 being opened, AC voltage is no longer supplied
to the circuits of later stage and therefore the lamp
goes off. This means that even if the lamp should run-
away, it immediately goes off preventing dangerous
troubles early mentioned as fume or fire.
4-4-2. GB Board
4-4-2-1. Structure
(1) Power source for the QC Board only
DC 5V and DC3.3 V is supplied to the QC board
regardless of whether it is set “ stand-by” or state
“after Power ON “.
(2) Lens. Motor.Drive circuits
This circuit drives the electric motors for SHIFT, or
ZOOM which is attached to the lens. and for FOCUS.
In case of lenses for manual, however, it is natural that
the circuit drives the motor for SHIFT only.
4-4-2-2. Power Source Operations for the QC
Board
The basic operation is a current resonance operation the
same as to the circuit power source mentioned before.
Inputting the AC voltage to the set, since SUB6V of the
GA board is input to CN1402 pin (3) via the C board, the
Photo coupler PH1400 is turned ON, subsequently IC1400
pin

(VSENSE) becomes “Low” ,the control IC for the
power source of the QC board. Then, the QC board power
