Overview
Overview
The ODS-L10 Optical Disc Archive 10Slot Library is a
library apparatus that can be equipped with up to two
optional drive units (such as the ODS-D55U or
ODS-D77U) and up to 10 Optical Disc Archive Cartridges.
It provides an efficient means to read and write data from
and to multiple Optical Disc Archive Cartridges, ensuring
efficiency in archiving material data and retrieving
archived material data (by uploading data to a server).
The ODS-L10 is equipped with HDDs in a RAID 1

(mirroring) configuration, and installation of an optional
XDBK-101 Power Supply provides it with redundant
power supply functionality. Because continuous operation
is ensured even if one of the HDDs or the power supplies
fails, the ODS-L10 is most useful for systems that require
high reliability.
1) RAID 1 (Redundant Arrays of Inexpensive Disks 1): An exact copy of a
set of data is written to two disks to increase reliability.
In this manual, the ODS-L10 when equipped with a drive
unit is called “this unit,” and an Optical Disc Archive
Cartridge is called a “cartridge.”
