Resuming playback
from the point you
stopped a SUPER
VIDEO CD/VIDEO CD
–– Resume Play
The unit memorizes the point where you
stopped the SUPER VIDEO CD/VIDEO CD
so you can resume playback from that point.
Resume Play is not cancelled when you turn
off the system.
Note that resume play is not available when
playing an audio CD.

While playing a SUPER VIDEO
CD/VIDEO CD, press
s
(or
x
on
the remote) to stop playback.
“RESUME” appears on your TV screen.
If “RESUME” does not appear, Resume
Play is not available.

(or CD
N
on the remote).
The player starts playback from the
point you stopped the SUPER VIDEO
CD/VIDEO CD in step 1.

SUPER VIDEO CD/VIDEO CD
When “RESUME” appears in the display,

on the remote).
Notes
• Resume Play is not available in the Digest,
Shuffle, or Program Play modes.
• Depending on where you stopped the SUPER
VIDEO CD/VIDEO CD, the player may resume
playback from a different point.
• The point at which you stopped playback is
cleared when:
– you press numeric buttons, PLAY MODE, or
s
.
– you press D. SKIP on the remote.
– you press SPECIAL MENU.
– you turn the jog dial.
– you remove the SUPER VIDEO CD/VIDEO CD.
– you unplug the unit’s mains lead
• The Resume Play works even if the power is
turned off by pressing
?/1
during playback.
However, the language setting may be cancelled
depending on the SUPER VIDEO CD.
