To cancel PBC Playback of SUPER
VIDEO CDs/VIDEO CDs with PBC
functions
There are two ways to cancel the PBC
functions.
• Before you start playing, select the track
you want using the jog dial (or
./>
on the remote) then press ENTER (or CD
N
on the remote).
• Before you start playing, select the track
number using the number buttons on the
remote.
The OFF indicator lights and playback begins
from the selected track. Still images, such as
the menu screen, will not be shown.
To select a menu number using
the remote
Press the numeric buttons in the order you
want in step 2. To enter track numbers 10 or
greater, first press >10, then press the
numerical buttons. To enter 0, use the 10/0
button.
Tips
• When
appears on the TV screen, you have
pressed an invalid button. Press a button
indicated by the instructions on the menu screen.
• When you press NEXT during menu playback or
while playing moving pictures, the next scene on
the disc appears. Also refer to the instructions
supplied with the disc.
Note
You cannot fast-forward or rewind a still picture.
Checking the
remaining time
You can check the remaining time of the
current track or the entire CD.

Each time you press the button during
normal playback or in the stop mode, the
display changes as follows:
During normal playback
Playing time of the current track

Remaining time of the current track*
o
Remaining time of current CD* (1 DISC
mode) or “--.--” display (ALL DISCS
mode)
o
Clock display (for eight seconds)
o
Effect (P FILE) name or “EFFECT ON
(OFF)”
* “--.--” may appear in the case of SUPER
VIDEO CD.
