To update software automatically

(on/standby) indicator slowly flashes in orange while the speaker is
updating.
To deactivate the software automatic update
Launch Sony | Music Center on your smartphone or similar device, and disable [Auto Update] in the [Settings] menu.
However, the software may still be updated automatically for critical changes, even if you disable this function.
If the indicators light/flash as explained in the following:

The BLUETOOTH indicator lights up white for 1 second
The
(on/standby) indicator quickly flashes in orange
The software update has failed.
Turn off the speaker, then turn it on again. The update will resume. If the situation does not improved after switching the
speaker off and on, consult your nearest Sony dealer.
Hint
Do not turn off the speaker while it is updating.
When the speaker is connected to a network via Wi-Fi, if the speaker detects a software update, the
(on/standby) indicator
flashes in orange 2 times immediately after the speaker is turned on.
You can do the Time Zone settings from Sony | Music Center.
