Checking the total playing
time and titles
Press DISPLAY repeatedly when playback
is stopped.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
x During play modes other than “PGM”
• Audio CD/VIDEO CD

Notes
• Depending on the DVD, the disc information may
not be displayed.
• Depending on the disc, some DVD-TEXT or
CD-TEXT information may not appear.
• The elapsed playing time and remaining time of the
track may not be displayed accurately when an MP3
audio track of VBR (variable bit rate) is played back.
• Only alphabet letters, numbers and some symbols
can be displayed.
• With formats other than ISO 9660 Level 1 and
Level 2, album title or track title may not be
displayed correctly.
Tips
• You can check the playing time of the disc using the
Control Menu (see “Viewing information about the
disc in the on-screen display” on page 64).
• When playing VIDEO CDs with PBC functions on,
only the elapsed playing time is displayed.
