3. Defect detection and correction
(1) Click the
[Start]
button on the defect correction mode
window.
The message box below is displayed.
(2) Close the lens iris and click the
[OK]
button.
A defect is detected and corrected automatically.

Close the lens iris securely. If not, this may cause
incorrect detection.
(3) When defect detection and correction are completed, a
correction point (in red) is displayed in the correction
point display part of the defect correction mode
window and the number of corrections is displayed in
“Number of defects”. And simultaneously, the
message box below is displayed.

The error message below is displayed when a defect is
not detected correctly.
Click the
[OK]
button to return to step 2 and set a
defect threshold value again.

(4) Confirm the two items below and click the
[Yes]
button if there is no problem.

The defect to be corrected disappears on a color
monitor.

The number of correction points is not too large or
small for the defect to be corrected.

The number of corrections may not coincide with
the number of correction points (in red) because of
display resolution when correction points are
concentrated on one point or when the area of the
defect to be corrected is wide. Therefore, confirm
the items described above as reference.

Confirm the two items above and perform steps (a)
and (b) below if there is a problem.
(a) Click the
[No]
button.
The message below is displayed.
(b) Click the
[OK]
button to return to step 2 and set a
defect threshold value again.
(5) Click the
[Yes]
button. The message box below is
displayed. Click the
[OK]
button.
4. Saving in EEPROM
(1) Click the
[Write|ROM]
button on the defect
correction mode window.
The message box below is displayed. Click the
[Yes]
button.
