1-6. Description of Internal Switch
The main functions of the internal switch of this unit are as
follows.
S601 (reset switch): SY-337 board (side B)
The system of this unit is returned to the factory settings by
supplying the power under pressing and holding this switch.
S202 (system selector switch): SY-337 board
(side A)
This switch switches the operation mode (normal mode or
test mode) of this unit.
The switch setting is as follows.
S203 (manual reset switch): SY-337 board
(side A)
This unit is restarted by pressing this switch.
1-7. Precautions when Replacing the
Parts of SY-337 Board
When RTC (IC402), backup battery (BT401) or diode
(D401) on the SY-W509 board is replaced, the calendar/
clock data stored in RTC (IC402) is erased. When the data
is erased, set the calendar/clock data again according to the
user’s guide.
RTC (IC402)
The calendar/clock function in RTC (IC402) is operated by
a power supplied by the backup battery (BT401) even in
the state of a board (mount board).
When replacing RTC (IC402), be careful that 8-pin pattern
does not short with 1-pin (
+
3.3 V) or 4-pin (GND) pattern.
When a short occurs, the backup battery (BT401) is wasted.
1-5. Removing/Installing the CCD
Assembly and Optical Filter

When removing the screw of the retaining plate, be careful
of the spring between the front chassis and the CCD
assembly because it may pop out.
Removal
1. Remove the lower cover. (Refer to Section 1-3-1.)
2. Remove the upper cover. (Refer to Section 1-3-2.)
3. Remove the front assembly. (Refer to Section 1-3-3.)
4. Remove the three screws (PS 2.6
x
6), then remove
the retaining plate, guard, slider, CCD cover and two
springs.
5. Remove the three screws (BTP 2
x
5), then remove
the CCD assembly from the CCD cover.
6. Remove the optical filter and seal rubber from the
CCD assembly.
7. Remove the two screws (BTP 2
x
5), then remove the
IR cut selector unit from the CCD cover.
Installation
8. Attach the CCD assembly and optical filter in the
reverse order of steps 4 to 7.
9. Assemble this unit in the reverse order of steps 1 to 3.
