Third Generation DVD

The third generation DVD players consist of models DVP-S330, DVP-
S530, DVP-S550 and DVP-C650d.

Symptom 8: Tray does not Eject.

Displays :”LOCKED”.

Cause: Nothing wrong with the unit. Tray is locked out in the display unit.
Use a SONY DVD remote to lock or unlock the tray.

Repair Procedure

Lock

1. With the unit OFF (red light), press the following buttons on the re-

mote: 1, 4, 1, 1, power.

2. The unit will come ON. Once a disc is detected, the tray will no longer

respond to the eject button. The display will show LOCKED each
time the eject button is pressed.

Unlock

1. With the unit OFF (red light), press the following buttons on the re-

mote: 1, 4, 1, 0, power.

2. The locked display will no longer appear and the tray open button will

work normally.
