Overview
The DVA-V1100 is a DVD video encoder unit to be
used in combination with the DZA-1100 (video) or
DZA-V1100N control software, which encodes video
signals with MPEG standards and outputs them as a
video elementary stream in DVD video format.
All the operations of the DVA-V1100 can be
controlled from the host computer via Ethernet

inputs as the standards.
• Equipped with an SDI monitor output, which enables
monitoring of the decoding results.
• Equipped with Ethernet (control data) and RS-232C
(system report) connectors as the standards for
control and data interface.
• Equipped with a SCSI connector as the standard to
output a video elementary stream for a DVD video
authoring system.
Serviceability and easier maintenance
Has a built-in PCMCIA card slot for maintenance,
including program upgrading.
Compact 19-inch rack mountable design with
the height of 3U
Thanks to an advanced 0.35µm semiconductor
process, the MPEG encoder chip, containing a newly
developed RISC processor, features the compact
design and low power consumption.
Optional Accessories
RMM-30 Rack Mount Rail
Consists of slide rails to mount this encoder unit into
a 19-inch standard rack.
EX-504 Extension Board
To check and adjust the internal card boards (VPR-33,
ENC-40, APR-25 and SY-240) while pulling them out
of the unit.
Maintenance Manual
Contains information on service for parts (adjustments,
mounting views, block diagrams, parts lists) and for
block and board replacements.
