Setting the SCSI ID (CSMA-EX200S
only)
The SCSI ID is a unique address that identifies the
CSMA-EX200S to the host. You can use the SCSI ID
switch at the rear of the unit to set the unit’s SCSI ID based
on your usage environment. The unit can be configured to
SCSI ID addresses ranging from 0 to F. The default SCSI
ID setting is 0.
• The SCSI ID must be different from the IDs of other
peripherals on the SCSI bus. Do not select the SCSI ID
of the SCSI host adapter card. The priority of this ID is
usually higher than that of any device on the SCSI bus.
Generally, the SCSI ID of the host adapter is 7.
• Be sure to turn off the unit before setting the SCSI ID.
Failing to do so may result in damage.
1
Make sure that the unit is turned off.
2
Press the buttons above and below the ID number to
select the SCSI ID that you want.
The new ID becomes effective when you restart the
unit or reset the SCSI bus.
