5. Turn the power on
6. Mode setting (REC head PB)
(1) Insert the CR2-1B into the unit.
(2) Press the PLAY button, and then press the
any button of the ASSEMBLE button and/or
INSERT buttons to establish the REC head
PB head PB mode.

Ensure that the erasure prevention plug of the
alignment cassette-tape is pressed in.
7. Play back the alignment tape
Play back the CR2-1B.
8. Check the CTL head position
(1) Push S101 switch on the SV-206 board more
than three seconds to enable the tracking VR.
(2) Turn RV100 (tracking VR) on the SV-206
board so that the output level at the center
portion of the RF envelope waveform is
maximum and read the maximum level as Lv.
(3) Push S101 switch on the SV-206 board more
than 3 sec. to fix the tracking VR.
(4) Read the output level at the center portion of
the RF envelope waveform as L
F
.
(5) Check that the levels Lv (readout by step (2))
and L
F
(readoout step (4)) satisfy the specifi-
cation 1.
If the specification is not satisfied, perform
steps 9 and later.
