A : Close style fan mounting.
Helpful hint: close style mounting is more suitable for ceilings lower than 2.43 m high.
The downrod, hanging ball, and plastic ring are not used in this type of installation Im-
portant: please remove the hanger pin, lock pin and two downrod set screws from the
top of the motor assembly first.
Remove every other screw and lock wash-er from top of motor housing.
(These screws and washers may already be in the hardware pack).
Pull wires through the canopy hole and attach canopy to motor housing
using the 3 screws and 3 lock washers provided.
Hang fan onto the hook on the mount-ing bracket using one the non-
slotted holes in the canopy.
Insert downrod through canopy. Thread wires from motor housing-
through downrod.
B: Downrod or angle style fan mounting
Helpful hint: Downrod style mounting is best suited for ceilings 2.43 m high or higher. For
taller ceilings you may want to use a longer downrod (not included). Angle style mounting
is best suited for angled or vaulted ceilings. A longer downrod will be needed to ensure
proper blade clearance.
