Do not vacuum up ashes, hot coals or sharp objects. The vacuum
cleaner may catch on fire or become blocked and/or damaged.
•
Do not vacuum up any electrically conductive materials, such as toner
dust from a printer/copier.
•
Never vacuum up asbestos, asbestos dust, or any carcinogens.
•
Never vacuum up flammable or poisonous liquids like petroleum, oil,
acids, or other volatile substances. This may cause the vacuum
cleaner to catch on fire.
•
Do not vacuum up any liquids (e.g. water). This may damage the
operation of the vacuum cleaner and may pose a risk of electric shock.
•
Do not vacuum up large objects such as coins, paper clips, nails, etc.
•
Do not store the appliance directly beside a hot oven or radiator.
•
Never operate the appliance while on its side. During operation, the
unit must be on the floor (wheels down). Exercise caution when using
the vacuum on stairs. When cleaning stairs, the unit must always be
below you to avoid the vacuum from falling on you.
•
Never leave the appliance switched on unattended. If you leave the
work area, switch the appliance off first and then unplug it from the
outlet (do not pull the cord, but use the plug).
•
Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on
cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance
over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
•
Always unplug the appliance after use and before changing the filter
bag and/or exhaust filter.
•
When cleaning or moving the appliance, always switch it off and
unplug if you are not going to use the appliance for an extended
period
of time. Never pull on the power cord to unplug the appliance,
rather
pull on the plug itself. Also, remove any special accessories
from the
appliance.
•
When rewinding the cord, do not allow the cord to retract at a high
speed. Carefully hold onto the cord and guide it as it rewinds.
