The HS 80 wired camera set allows you to monitor the environment of your house. The system can be
extended by 1 additional camera (product code of camera offered by SOMOGYI ELEKTRONIC: HS 81), allowing
you to monitor more than one rooms. With the InfraLED’s the system is able to show a clear image of the area in
front of the camera even in darkness.
Place the camera in the desired location. The camera can be hung from the wall, or placed
on top of a table, cupboard etc.
After locating the camera, use the 20 meters of wire included in the set to connect it to the monitor.
If needed, the wire can be extended. If you are using only 1 camera, connect it to the Camera 1 socket.
When adding a second camera, connect it to the Camera 2 socket. Connect the monitor’s adaptor to
the adaptor output socket on the monitor, and plug the adaptor into the network.. Turn on the monitor
with the On/Off button. When the camera is switched on, the LED indicator on the front is lit up green.
Use the Camera change button to select the camera whose image you wish to display. (When using
only 1 camera, the button should be pressed, and it is recommended to set the Automatic/manual
mode selector to the manual, released position because the image from Camera 2 will be blank.)
The displayed image can be refined using the three controls (V-hold, contrast, brightness) on the mo-
nitor. You can set the volume to the desired level using the volume control on the monitor’s front pa-
nel.
There are audio and video outputs on the back of the monitor (Audio out, Video out). You can connect
these to transmit the image displayed by the monitor to any other AV device (television etc.) or
recorder (VCR, DVD etc.).
If you are using 2 cameras you can switch between their images manually (Automatic/manual mode
selector on manual/pressed) or automatically (Automatic/manual mode selector on automatic/
released). When switching between the images manually you can choose which image to display.
When in automatic mode, you can use the Timer control to adjust the frequency (1 to 30 sec) at which the images are displayed
in an alternating fashion.
By keeping the Speech button pressed you can communicate with the people in front of the camera by speaking into the microphone
on the front of the monitor. This enables the system to be used as a door phone.
