MAXIMUM VOLUME
All speakers should be run in before normal use. During the first 30 to 50 hours of operation, they should be used at 50% volume.
Higher volumes may, in certain cases, cause distorted, poor quality sound. This may be caused by an overly high input signal level. To avoid this, reduce the
signal level from the external device (e.g., BT, AUX) or, if necessary, the volume of the sound box. The maximum volume of a system is the one, at which
the sound produced is high quality and distortion free.
● Any further increase of the volume will not increase the output power, but raise the distortion of the system. This may damage the speakers, as well
as cause defects.
TONE CONTROL
You can adjust the sound using the remote controller of the sound box. Note that different signal sources and volume levels may require different settings.
Otherwise, the sound quality may deteriorate. Always find the best setting for the current program. Press the
EQ
button on the remote controller to access
various setting modes: NORMAL, POP, ROCK, JAZZ, CLASSIC, CUT
● The EQ function is available in USB/microSD mode.
● In BT mode, correctly setting the volume and tone on the mobile phone is important for good sound quality.
● In AUX mode, correctly setting the volume and tone of the signal source is important for good sound quality.
WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
Within a maximum range of 10 meters, the unit can be paired with other equipment communicating according to the BT protocol. After pairing, you can listen
to music played on your mobile phone, tablet, notebook or other similar device. Repeatedly press the
MODE
button (for 2s on the remote controller) to select
the
BT
function. Place the device to be paired in the vicinity of the unit, and find nearby wireless BT devices, including this sound box, as described in its
operating manual. Connect the two devices. After successful connection, the flashing
BT
indicator will start to illuminate continuously. Then you can listen
to the desired program via the speakers. The player application on the playback device (e.g., a mobile phone) can usually be controlled remotely using the
buttons
/
/
of the control panel or remote controller.
● In BT mode, correctly setting the volume and tone on the mobile phone is important for good sound quality.
● One sound box can be paired with one BT signal source at a time.
● If the wireless connection is lost, turn BT mode off and back on if necessary. Press and hold the
button for 3s. Then BT connection will be lost,
and you can repeat the procedure to reactivate pairing mode. If necessary, turn off and back on the sound box or switch off and back on BT mode on
the mobile device.
● If you receive a phone call to the connected mobile phone while listening to music, the music will pause. After your conversation, restart playback if it
does not resume automatically.
● The actual range depends on the other device and the environmental conditions (e.g., walls, human bodies, other electrical appliances, motion…)
● Electrical devices operated nearby may cause abnormal operation or noise; this does not indicate a malfunction of the sound box!
● Abnormal operation may be caused by the individual characteristics of the external device; this is not a sign of product malfunction. In certain cases,
the BT functionality may be limited, depending on the external device.
STEREO WIRELESS BT CONNECTION (TWS)
Two sound boxes of the same type and having the same BT name can be paired with each other and with a phone. In this case, the two sound boxes can
return the right and left audio channels forming a wireless stereo sound system. First, turn off BT mode on your phone. Turn on both Sound boxes and make
sure they are in BT mode. An acoustic signal will sound shortly, and one of the two flashing BT indicators will already illuminate continuously. Then two sound
boxes will be automatically connected to each other. If this fails to happen automatically, press twice the
/TWS button on one of the sound boxes. Then
switch on the BT function on your phone and pair the sound box with the BT indicator still flashing with the phone.
● In stereo mode, the setting of one sound box (e.g., volume) will automatically take effect on the other sound box too.
● Disabling the TWS mode: Press and hold the
/TWS button of one sound box for 3 seconds until an acoustic signal indicates that the two sound
boxes are disconnected.
● The radio offers mono reception.
USING THE RADIO
Straighten the antenna wire on the back. If possible, attach the end to a higher point such as a shelf for better reception. Select the
FM
radio mode with
the
MODE
button. The display shows the tuned frequency. To start automatic tuning and storage, press and hold the
button on the unit or remote
controller for about 2 seconds. When the setting is completed, the unit switches to the first found radio station. Other stored programs can be accessed by
briefly pressing and holding the
stepping keys. The display will show the programme positions
CH01…CH02…
for the current radio station. Press and
hold one of the stepping keys to find the nearest radio station.
You can also turn on automatic tuning and storage by pressing and holding the
button on the remote controller. If you press the
stepping keys
briefly, you can scroll through the stored programs, while holding down makes the radio tune to the next station.
● The display shows the tuned frequency; for example 1031 = 103.1MHz
● Press the
button briefly to mute the speakers.
● The search stops when it detects varying signal strength – this does not always mean that a radio program is found.
● The reception capability of the radio largely depends on the place of use and the current reception conditions.
● Do not place large metal objects or electrical equipment close to the device!
● Orient the antenna wire on the back to achieve the best reception. The positioning of the equipment can also affect the quality of reception.
● The LED light effect function is not available in radio mode.
MP3/WMA/WAV PLAYBACK
from USB/microSD STORAGE MEDIA
The player is ready to play when the device is switched on. Carefully insert the
USB
or
microSD
memory and the unit will automatically switch to USB/SD
mode and start playback. If necessary, use the
MODE
button to activate this function or to switch between the two storage devices.
The display will show the number of the current programme and the elapsed time, as well as the number of the song when stepping. To start playback,
press the
button, but playback will also start automatically when the external device is inserted. You can also use the same button to pause playback
(
PAUSE
) or to select the desired programme using the step buttons
. Pressing and holding the latter allows fast scanning.
Some extra functions can only be activated when the MP3 player is switched on. Use the
REPE
(REPEAT) button on the remote control to select the
playback mode.
ONE
: repeat current song,
ALL
: repeat all songs. The EQ function described above is available only in MP3 mode.
