Operation, alarm
In normal mode, the power on LED (2) is lit up. If the product detects carbon-monoxide, the CO indicator LED (3) starts to flash in red, accompanied by a
beeping sound. If the product detects gas, the gas indicator LED (4) starts to flash in red. As part of its normal operation, the product tests carbon-
monoxide periodically. While this test is in progress, the CO indicator LED (3) is lit in green for a few seconds.
Operation of the LED indicators:
Important notes
It is possible that gas produced in a distant part of the building does not reach the sensor in time to alarm the people inside on time (e.g., because some doors are closed).
The sensor does not immediately indicate that there is dangerous situation unless it is located in the room where the gas is produced. Even in that case, the alarm only goes off if the
concentration of the gas exceeds the dangerous threshold. The sensor does not detect heat, smoke, flames or light. There may be scenarios where the gas does not reach the sensor
fast enough and, as a result, there may not be enough time to escape.
It is not guaranteed that the sensor can always alarm everyone in time. The loud sound alarm may be suppressed by other noise such as music, and it may be more difficult to recognize
for people with impaired hearing. The sensor cannot warn persons under the influence of medication or alcohol. In such cases, it is recommended to install special gas sensors if needed.
In order to minimize risk, people must become aware of the alarm immediately, and must act quickly and in the correct way. You need to identify the source of the gas, ventilate the room
and, in case of lethal hazard, you must escape from the building. Open all doors and windows. Inform all people that may be affected. If it is possible, turn off the device that is suspected
to be malfunctioning.
When you are starting to use the sensor, explain everyone in the household what they need to do in case of an alarm; identify possible escape routes.
Stay calm and leave the building as quickly as possible; if needed, call the emergency line for an ambulance and firefighters.
This sensor is not designed to provide professional reliability; it is not guaranteed to save lives in case of a gas leakage. The product cannot replace other reasonable precautions and the
usual types of insurance. Making sure these are in place is the responsibility of the people using the building.
If there is an alarm while you are away, contact a technician to have your burning devices inspected.
It is recommended to remove dust, dirt and dead insects from the outside of the sensor at least once every month. Never paint over the sensor, and make sure no paint or dust from the
wall gets inside the product. For regular cleaning, use a soft brush, a cloth and a vacuum cleaner. Make sure the vents are not blocked. The product requires no cleaning inside; never
disassemble the product.
The sensor is designed for indoor household use only. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight or heat.
