If hard water is used, over time limescale will be deposited in the water tank and in the parts in contact with the
water. The limescale deposited on the oscillator inhibits normal operation.
We recommend that
1. Use distilled water.
2. Clean the water tank and oscillator weekly.
3. Frequently change the water.
4. If it is not used for a long time, clean the entire appliance and store it dry.
Cleaning the water tank and the oscillator, descaling
1. Turn off the humidifier, then disconnect it from the power supply by unplugging the connection plug.
2. Pour out the distilled water from the water tank.
3. Dissolve 1 coffee spoon citric acid in 1 dl warm water (max 60 °C).
4. Pour this solution into the water tank of the appliance and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
5. Pour the solution out of the appliance and rinse with clean, cold water.
