E.g.: Adding an io-homecontrol® roller shutter

Choose the equipment type (e.g.: Roller shutter).

Select the channel onto which you want to add it (e.g.: Channel 1). A roller shutter will appear on the selected channel.
Press "Continue".

Give your channel a name (e.g: Living room): *7 characters max.
Note
: The keyboard is set to upper case by default. You can also write in lower case by pressing the
button. Press OK.

Now follow the 3 steps displayed on the screen:
(1).
Identify the original control of the roller shutter, i.e. the remote control or the control point which only controls this roller
shutter. Partially open the roller shutter using the original control.
Note
:

If the original control is lost or broken, and it is the only one that controls the roller shutter, contact one of our
Somfy advisers.

If another control operates the roller shutter, use it to follow the steps below.
(2).
Press the original control's PROG button for at least
3 seconds: the product reacts (for example, with a
brief up and down movement for a blind or a roller
shutter). The programming function is activated
for 10 minutes.
Note
: If you cannot locate the PROG button on your
control point, refer to the instructions.
(3).
Press the "Pair" button on the monitor.

Check that pairing has worked by pressing the "Test" button.

If the roller shutter responds, press "Continue". If it does not,
press "Start again" or "Cancel".
Specific case: adding an already occupied radio channel
You can save more than one io-homecontrol® device on the same radio channel to create groups of equipment. All devices
configured on the same channel will then operate together. To add a device, follow the procedure explained previously
(“4.2.2 Adding an io-homecontrol® device”). When selecting a channel, choose whichever already occupied channel you wish.
Note
: It is recommended for optimum ergonomics to group all devices of the same type together on a single radio channel.
However, if the device that you are adding is not of the same type (e.g: adding a roller shutter to a channel occupied by a lamp),
the pictogram of the last added product (roller shutter) will be given precedence. It is nevertheless possible to change the channel
name (e.g.: "Lights" can become "Living room").
4.2.3 Adding a Somfy io-homecontrol® scenario initiator

Choose the device type (e.g.: Scenario initiator).
[2].
Select the channel onto which you want to add it (e.g.: Channel1). A "Play" icon will appear on the selected channel.
Press "Continue".

Give your channel a name (e.g: Scenario): *7 characters max. Press OK.

From your computer, log onto the device adding interface from the home automation unit (Tahoma…), and follow the
instructions for adding a control / Scenario initiator.

Now follow the 2 steps displayed on the video entry phone screen.
4.2.4 Removing an io-homecontrol® device
To remove an io-homecontrol® device, first press
from the home screen, then
in the top right of the screen,
and lastly
in the centre of the screen.
Once the device removal procedure has started, the monitor will guide you step-by-step. If in doubt, refer to the io-homecontrol®
device's instructions.

: the steps are the same as those in the device adding procedure, see “4.2.2 Adding an io-homecontrol® device”.
