Battery Max Customers with DC Coupled Batteries
These installations use just two pairs of CT’s because there is rarely single set of wires to CT
to measure solar production on such systems. One CT set measures the utility. One set
measures the dedicated loads (during an outage).
CT’s measuring the utility will land in the terminals for MOTE 1.
CT’s measuring back-up (battery power) flowing to the dedicated loads sub-panel will land
on the terminals for MOTE 2.
Demand Customers with Solar
These installations require two pairs of CT’s
as well.
CT’s measuring the utility will land in the
terminals for MOTE 1.
CT’s measuring back-up (battery power)
flowing to the dedicated loads sub-panel will
land on the terminals for MOTE 2.
The PV production CT’s should be placed
after the inverter and solar meter and before
the breaker tying in the system.
