Change-over tool set – line head

the safety instructions in the instruction manual of the brushcutter.
Introduction
To ensure a fast and easy tool change, SOLO Kleinmotoren GmbH offer this
change-over tool set – line head
for
exclusive use with the SOLO brushcutter types 129 LTS and 129 BTS (each with sectional shaft).

Assembly
Attaching the protective shield to the shaft tube of the
change-over tool set – line head:

Place the anti-vibration piece (2) over the shaft tube, with the beading at the
top (pointing towards the engine). To facilitate this, the anti-vibration piece
can be opened via its slit.

From the inside, secure the two square nuts (3) to the contact shield.

Secure the protective shield (1) with both screws (4), two half clamps (5) and
spacers (6) which are fitted between the half clamps, to secure the anti
vibration piece to the shaft tube.

Both the factory fitted gearbox screws (7) must enter the holes in the
protective shield to ensure its correct positioning. This will also prevent the
protective shield from rotating.

Tighten screws (4) equally and alternately
Attaching the protective bar and the line trimmer blade (included as part
of standard delivery with the brushcutter) to the protective shield of the
change-over tool set – line head
x
Attach the line trimmer blade (11) to the protective bar (10) with screw (12)
and washer (13). (These parts are delivered as standard with the
brushcutter).

Place the shield on to the protective bar (10) from the bottom. When doing
so, slightly bend the protective bar.
Please note:
When using the line head never start the brushcutter without
having attached the protective bar or line trimmer blade.
Installation on the brushcutter:
Please note:
Before installation on to the brushcutter ensure that its stop
switch is set to "stop" and the spark plug cap has been pulled.
The change-over tool set – line head is fitted instead of the standard lower
shaft tube.
To separate the brushcutter shaft:

Release the straining screw (1).

Pull out the fixing pin (2).
x
Pull the lower shaft tube (3) with gearbox from the female coupling.
When installing the
change-over tool set – line head
ensure that the
installation set mates with the quadrant in the upper part of the drive shaft. It
may be necessary to gently jiggle the
change-over tool set – line head
when
inserting into the shaft. The fixing pin (2) must audibly lock into position in the shaft tube holes.
Tighten the straining screw (1).
