Port Discovery
This feature provides detailed information about supported Ethernet speeds and
the PoE status on the switch port used.

The NetXpert XG displays the Ethernet speed of the current connection and the other
possible speeds of this port.
The device performs a PoE evaluation on the port, which can also be called up as
a single function (
Run PoE only
selection). The operating mode and polarity are
determined, the underlying standard and the performance class are evaluated and,
above all, the voltage drop with and without load is tested to ensure that not only is
PoE voltage applied, but also that power can be called up.
The result of port detection is documented in PDF format.
