Licensing

Figure 17 – License management

The license function allows you to extend the functionality of your NetXpert XG.
There are currently three variants:

 

– NetXpert 1G – Qualification up to 1Gbit/s

 

– NetXpert 2.5/5G – Qualification up to 5Gbit/s

 

– NetXpert 10G – Qualification up to 10Gbit/s

To perform a license upgrade, you only need a corresponding number of so-called 

step-up licenses. It does not matter which license your NetXpert XG currently has.  

The purchase of a “step-up” license extends the functionality of the device by one  

step up.

Any installed licenses or the performance range are displayed in the bottom line of  

the screen.

Appropriate licenses can be obtained from the known sources for Softing IT Networks 

products.
