ROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM:
The Wi-Fi status icon doesn’t appear after I turn on the Wi-Fi
radio.
POSSIBLE REASONS
SOLUTION
Your device may be frozen.
Soft reset the device by pressing the reset button.
The Wi-Fi status icon is hidden,
and a balloon icon appears at
the top of the screen.
Tap on the balloon icon to reveal the Wi-Fi status
icon.
SYMPTOM:
My device is not receiving a valid IP address.
POSSIBLE REASONS
SOLUTION
The DHCP request was not
successful in receiving an IP
address
Disable and enable the Wi-Fi radio.
The SSID may be incorrect.
Check and re-enter the SSID. It is case-sensitive.
Alternatively, try using an SSID of “any”.
Your network profile does not
match access point settings.
Check with your company IT department to
confirm access point security settings.
SYMPTOM:
My device does not associate with an access point known to be
within range.
