snowplow assembly
1.
Flip up the upper lift frame and secure using eight ½”x1-1/2” stainless steel hex cap screws, nuts and
washers (10f/g/h).
2.
Attach the chain lift to the upper lift frame and lift cylinder using two 7/8”x3.25” clevis pins and cotter
pins (10d/e).
3.
Attach the A-frame to the lower lift frame using two ¾”x2.13” clevis pins, washers, and cotter pins
(10a/b/c).
4.
Install the light brackets (8) using the included hardware.
5.
Attach the moldboard (2) to the lift frame using the trip pin hardware kit (3) as shown. Check that the
moldboard rotates freely around the trip pins.
6.
Install the two trip springs (4) using the trip spring hardware kit (5) as shown. Tension the springs
until the coils are approximately .030” apart. A playing card serves as an adequate measuring device. It
is important that all springs be at the same tension.
7.
Install the snow deflector (2a) (if desired) by loosening the fasteners on the top of the moldboard. The
deflector fits between the black painted retainer strip and the stainless steel skin. It may be necessary
to clamp the skin in place to allow insertion of the deflector. It is ONLY NECESSARY to remove the outer
two fasteners completely.
8.
Install the blade guides (6) using the included hardware kit.
9.
The shoes as installed have been adjusted for shipping and may need to be readjusted for proper
plowing height.
10.
Install the lights with the light hardware kit (8). Do not route the plow side light harness yet as the
Passenger and Driver side light connection will vary depending on the truck side installation. Do not
tighten the light hardware yet, as they will need to be aimed.
11.
The plow may now be set into mounting configuration – install the jack (7) and level the plow to the
proper height for mounting to the truck.
12.
Grease all greasable fittings (trip pins and king bolt).

. It may be necessary to remove vehicle headlights to access the truck light harness connectors.
2.
Install the vehicle specific headlight adapters per included installation instructions.
3.
Be sure to route wires and harnesses away from hot surfaces or moving parts.
For safety reasons, the blade drops very slowly on the plow as shipped. To adjust the drop speed of the
blade use a flat blade screwdriver and turn the lowering speed adjustment on the front of the hydraulic
power unit counter clockwise. Turn it clockwise to slow the blade drop speed. Do this only while the
blade is dropped, and tighten the jam nut after adjusting.
