[The flame strength can be adjusted by using the regulator.]
Part names
1. Take out the stove and hook bar from the storage case. And then remove the trivet
and windscreen. * At this time, remove all packing materials that cover the parts.
2. Insert the hook attached to the tip of the hook bar into the hole of the regulator
handle as shown below, and lift the regulator. Then, put it on the cap.
①
The flame strength can be reduced by covering it with the regulator.
②
The flame strength can be adjusted by adjusting the size of the air intake port.
2. Turn the trivet upside down,
stack the windscreen and stove
as shown below so that the end
of the trivet passes through the
hole in the liquid pan.
3. Close the lid by turning it
clockwise. Then, stack the cap
and then the regulator in order.
4. Turn the flame extinguisher lid
to make the hook bar short,
place the bar on the stove, then
put it in the storage case and tie
the bag at the top.
3. Insert the hook of the hook bar
inside though the gap between the
liquid pan and the windscreen,
attach it to the regulator handle, and
rotate the regulator. The size of the
air intake port changes, enabling
you to adjust the flame strength.
1. After removing the trivet and
the windscreen, rotate the
liquid pan to align the hole of
the liquid pan with the hole of
the stand base.
2. Remove the regulator and the cap
from the liquid pan, and turn the lid
counterclockwise to remove it.
* At this time, remove the lid while
holding down the stove body so that
the stove body does not rotate.
Misuse could easily result in a serious accident or death.
Make sure that no bioethanol fuel spills around the stove.
4. Put the cap on the stove
body, attach it so that
the cap is aligned with
the dents of the liquid
pan, and then put the
windscreen on the
stand.
6. To extinguish the flame, insert the flame
extinguisher lid attached to the hook bar inside
through the gap between the liquid pan and the
windscreen, cover the entire upper part of the stove
body, and make sure that the flame is extinguished
completely. (Leave the lid on the cap for
about 20
seconds
to extinguish the flame.)
To shut off the air and extinguish the flame, put the
flame extinguishing lid in the center of the stove
body at this time. Please note that the flame will not
be extinguished unless it is completely covered.
4. To extinguish the flame, use the hook of the hook bar to remove the regulator from
the top of the windscreen, and cover the cap by using the flame extinguisher lid
attached to the hook bar in the same manner as the usage procedure. At this time,
the regulator is extremely hot. Be careful of burns and where you place the regulator.
Use the regulator after the combustion becomes stable. If you use the
regulator when igniting the flame, the flame may go out or ignition may fail.
5. Ignite the upper part of the stove body using a long-tipped lighter.
1. Rotate the liquid pan,
and align three holes on
the circumference of the
liquid pan with the dents
on the circumference of
the top of the stove
base.
2. Insert the edge of the trivet
into the hole on the circumfer-
ence of the liquid pan.
3. After setting the trivet, ignite using a long-tipped lighter.
* Before attaching or detaching the regulator, remove the cooker from the trivet.
1. Ignite the upper part of the stove body using a long-tipped lighter, and check
that the flame is stable.
The flame in the early stages of burning may be difficult
to see in the sunlight during the day, however, after a
while, it turns into a red flame and becomes visible.
CAUTION
Do not touch the stove body, liquid pan, stove base,
windscreen, trivet, or other parts while the flame is alight.
Doing so is very dangerous because there is a risk of burns.
WARNING
At first, a flashing flame will rise from the liquid in the center of
the stove. After a while, the flame moves to the vaporized
bioethanol fuel coming from the fuel injection port on the
circumference of the upper part, and it becomes a stable flame.

Precautions for use
Troubleshooting
Do not use a product that has a leak, has been subjected to impact, or that has
stopped working.
1. Do not use the product for any purpose other than cooking.
2. Pots that can be used should have a diameter of 23 cm/9.1" or less (however,
the outer diameter of 1 cm/0.4" from the bottom of the pot is 19 cm/7.5" or less)
and a capacity of 4 liters/4.2 qt or less. A pot that is too large is dangerous
because it utilizes radiant heat to heat up ethanol and because the weight
balance may become unstable and cause it to tip over.
3. The combustion state (flame condition, power, etc.) changes depending on the
air temperature and the ethanol temperature.
4. The flame may be extinguished due to strong wind or ingredients spilling onto it.
Keep an eye on it during use.
5. If abnormal combustion occurs, immediately extinguish the flame and discontinue use.
6. The metal burns and discolors the parts that are exposed to flames and those
that are close to flames.

Ventilation Required
• When using this product, be sure to ventilate once or twice
an hour (for one to two minutes) to replenish fresh air. Do
not continue using this product without ventilation.
Also, do not use multiple products at the same time.
Insufficient oxygen may cause incomplete combustion and
poisoning due to generation of carbon monoxide. In addition,
infants and people with respiratory illnesses may feel unwell.
Also, when using at high altitudes, increase the frequency of
ventilation.
• Do not use this product in a closed space such as a
car, tent, shelter, etc. There is a risk of carbon
monoxide poisoning death or suffocation due to
oxygen deficiency. Also, please be careful about
ventilation in small spaces, even when outdoors.
• When ventilating, use a ventilation fan or provide
openings in two or more rooms where the wind enters
and exits to help ensure sufficient ventilation.
* When a ventilation fan is used, there may not be sufficient
ventilation unless a window at a remote location is opened.
• Do not use this product in places where the windows
are frozen closed or where there is insufficient
ventilation such as in a basement.
Before storing, make sure that the stove body is cold. Please note that the storage case
may melt if the stove body is stored while hot.
Trivet
This is
approximately
the 200 ml/6.7
fl oz line.
CAUTION
When using the trivet,
use the product outdoors
CAUTION
• From the viewpoint of assuring safety, use the optional BS-001 Bioethanol
Fuel 1L when using this product. When the cooker is active and burning
bioethanol fuel, soot will be generated due to the characteristics of the fuel,
and the flame will tend to turn red. Please use bioethanol fuel specified by us
to increase visibility and for the product concept of enjoying viewing the flame.
At this time, insert the hook bar so that
the hook bar does not hit the
windscreen and cause it to come off.
CAUTION
It may take a few seconds for
the flame strength to change, so
rotate the regulator little by little.
CAUTION
Do not store the fuel inside the stove body for a long period of time. For
long-term storage, completely evaporate the bioethanol fuel in a location
where there are no other flames, completely remove the bioethanol fuel, and
securely close the lid before storing.
[Reason] Leakage may occur, causing ignition, fire, or abnormal combustion.
At this time, make sure that
the end of the trivet leg (the
part pressed flat) is hidden.
If the end of the trivet is not
hidden, it is not firmly
attached.
If the trivet is not firmly
attached, it is very
dangerous because it may
tip over when the cooker is
placed on the trivet.

• When using this product, prepare a fire extinguishing spray and place it
near the product to use if necessary.
• Do not refuel the stove body during use. It is very dangerous because it
may ignite the fuel being replenished and cause a fire. Make sure that the
flame is extinguished before refueling, and make sure that the stove body is
completely cold.
• Use the dedicated fuel specified by Snow Peak.
[Reason] It may cause an unexpected accident. Please note that if you use
a fuel other than the type specified, the product will not be covered by the
product warranty.
• Please read the instructions on the fuel before use.
[Reason] There are guidelines you must follow when using fuel. Please
check before use.
• If you ingest fuel, do not induce vomiting and seek medical attention
immediately.
• If you accidentally get fuel in your eyes, wash your eyes and behind your
eyelids thoroughly with clean water. If you can easily remove contact
lenses, remove them and wash your eyes thoroughly. Seek medical
attention after washing.
• If fuel gets on your skin, wash it off thoroughly with water and soap.
• If you feel sick while using the equipment or adding fuel, stop immediately
and rest in a well-ventilated place. If you feel any abnormalities, seek
medical attention.
• Do not roast ingredients using this product. Roasted ingredients can be
harmful to your health. In addition, the oil of the ingredients may enter
inside the product and prevent correct combustion.
• Never repair or modify yourself.
[Reason] This product is made with precision. Modifications not only reduce
performance, but can also cause incomplete combustion and fuel leaks. If
repairs are necessary, please contact the dealer where you purchased the
product or Snow Peak Customer Service.
• Before igniting the stove body, be sure to check that the bioethanol fuel is
not leaking and that there are no holes open other than the combustion port.
[Reason] If you ignite with the bioethanol fuel leaking, you may get burned
or fire due to abnormal combustion. If you feel any abnormalities, stop
using the product immediately and contact the dealer where you purchased
the product or Snow Peak Customer Service.
• Do not intentionally inhale the vaporized gas of bioethanol fuel.
[Reason] If you intentionally inhale this gas, you may experience a shortage
of oxygen, which is extremely dangerous. Be sure to never do this under
any circumstances.
• Do not tip, shake, or carry while the flame is alight.
[Reason] There is a danger that you will be burnt if the
wind fans the flame in a different direction or the flame
suddenly becomes bigger. There is a risk of fire due to
spillage of lit fuel.
• Be sure to use this product as a complete set, and do not
use the stove body by itself. Otherwise, it may cause the
product to tip over and lead to fire.
• Do not use, place, or store the stove or bioethanol fuel on hot (over 40°C/104°F)
sandy beaches, river rocks, metal surfaces, paved roads or inside a car.
[Reason] Beach sand, river rocks, metal surfaces, paved roads, and car interiors in
direct sunlight can reach extremely high temperatures. Placing a stove or bioethanol
fuel on such surfaces or lighting a stove on top of them may result in internal
pressure building up. This may lead to abnormal combustion or cause fuel to leak.
• When climbing mountains or camping, be sure to have a spare stove
available in case of emergency.
• Check the O-ring (consumable) attached to the lid each time
you use it. If the O-ring is worn out or damaged, stop using
the product immediately and contact the dealer you
purchased the product from or Snow Peak Customer Service.
[Reason] If the O-ring is worn out or damaged, there is a possibility that bioethanol
fuel may leak.
• Do not use the product near spray cans, gas cans, or bioethanol fuel containers. The
heat raises the pressure of the can, causing it to explode and/or become dangerous.
• Before igniting, be sure that there are no people around you and no
flammable objects, as it may cause burns, other injuries, or fire. Also, be sure
to check that the bioethanol fuel is not leaking before igniting.
• Do not use this product near flammable materials
such as tents, curtains, and blankets. Keep
flammable materials at least 2 m/6.6 ft above the
stove and 50 cm/20" from the sides of the stove. Lay
a heat insulating material under the stove as needed.
[Reason] The heat from the flame drifts laterally or
downward depending on the wind direction. Heat is
strongly transmitted to the upper direction, so keep
a sufficient distance from flammable materials so
as not to cause a fire. Also, the bottom plate of this product cannot prevent
heat radiating from a pan. Please use a heat insulating material when using
this product on a table. Alternatively, use this product on a metal top plate that
is not easily affected by heat.
• Set up and use this product on a flat and stable surface.
[Reason] If you use this product on an angled
surface or while it is in an unstable state, it may tip
over, causing burns or fire.
• Only use for cooking.
[Reason] Using the stove for heat, to dry off clothes, or
any other activity that is not cooking may lead to
unintended accidents such as fires, burns, or asphyxiation.
• Do not heat cookers, pots, kettles, or other utensils without water inside
them. Doing so will cause heat to be trapped inside, and may cause a fire.
• Do not use anything that generates flammable gas (gasoline, kerosene,
benzine, thinner, etc.) or spray in the room where this product is used. It may
cause a fire or a malfunction.
• There is a risk of explosion, etc., so dispose of the bioethanol fuel separately from
other dust after it has been completely used. Also, do not throw an empty bioethanol
fuel container into a fire or place it near other heat sources, even if it is empty.
[Reason] Even with an empty bioethanol fuel
container, a small amount of ethanol still remains. If
you throw it in a fire or place it near another heat
source, the internal pressure will rise and it will
become very dangerous.
• Do not leave or look away from the product when using it.
[Reason] There is a risk of fire spreading during use, which
may cause an unexpected accident such as a fire. In addition
to ignition during use and extinguishing after use, keep an
eye on this product while you are using it and check that it is
burning occasionally. Be sure to extinguish the flame when
you leave the product or before you go to bed. Be sure to put
out the flame when you leave, even if only for a short time.
• This product can be used with a pot with a
maximum diameter of dia 23 cm/9.1". Do
not place a pot or iron plate larger than the
product on the windscreen or trivet to cover
the top surface, and do not surround the
product any large shielding objects.
[Reason] Heat may be trapped inside,
causing abnormal combustion.
• Do not light charcoal on this stove.
[Reason] The product will heat up abnormally,
resulting in a malfunction.
• When igniting, do not place your hands or body close to
the top of the fuel injection port or look into the fuel
injection port.
[Reason] There is danger that a large flame may cause
burns.
• Do not set up multiple stoves under one cooking utensil.
[Reason] The cooking utensil and this product may fall
over, which is very dangerous.
• Do not use this product in a place where there are other
sources of heat, such as near a heater or a bonfire.
[Reason] The other heat source may heat up this product,
which may increase the risk of ignition.
• Do not use a griddle, gridiron, or smoker with this stove.
[Reason] A griddle has a large amount of radiant heat and
there is a risk of abnormal combustion. If you use a
gridiron or a smoker, the oil or moisture from the food may
enter the stove and cause a malfunction.
• Store the stove or bioethanol fuel in an area away
from children.
[Reason] Store the stove or bioethanol fuel in an area
out of reach of children so that they are not put in danger.
• Do not drop or subject the stove to impact in any other way.
[Reason] This may alter the shape or damage the stove,
and can cause a malfunction.
• Do not touch the stove body or trivet unnecessarily as they are very hot
during and after use. Firmly grasp the body with heat-resistant gloves.
[Reason] There is a risk of burns.
• To help ensure safety, ignite this product using a long-tipped lighter,. Also, be
sure to carry matches or a lighter (non-electronic) with you when traveling in
the mountains or camping. Do not ignite using a fire starter as this product
may tip over.
• When storing the bioethanol fuel, remove the nozzle and be sure to cover it.
Please check the inside periodically.
[Reason] There is a risk that liquid may leak if there are scratches or rust on
the exterior.
• After use, perform inspection and cleaning. Then, disassemble the trivet and
store it in the storage case, and close the lid tightly on the stove body.
[Reason] Moisture, dirt, and dust adhering to this product may cause clogging
and rust, resulting in malfunction. Carry out an inspection and cleaning to
prevent any problems occurring next time.
• Bioethanol fuel cannot be carried on an aircraft.
[Reason] By law, bioethanol cannot be carried on an aircraft.
• The stove body and each part become very hot during use and for a while
after use. When putting this product away, check in advance that it has cooled
down.
• If the lid is attached or removed with excessive force, the O-ring will be
damaged. Exercise care when tightening the lid.
• Do not use when there is strong wind.
[Reason] This product may tip over and cause a fire. Also, due to the
structure, the flame may be blown out by the wind.
• Make sure that there is no foreign matter such as dust inside the body before
using. If there is a foreign matter inside the body, it may lead to a malfunction
of the body. If foreign matter is inside the body, remove it before use.
• Do not lay flammable or heat-sensitive materials (corrugated cardboard, vinyl
cloth, table cloth, etc.) under this product, or position any objects that obstruct
ventilation.
• When using this product with a cooking utensil, pay attention not to let the
liquid being cooked spill over.
[Reason] If the spilled liquid gets inside this product, it may stop functioning.
• Do not use auxiliary tools or optional parts that have not been confirmed to be
compatible.
[Reason] The combined use of auxiliary tools and optional parts that have not
been confirmed to be compatible with this product may cause an unexpected
accident.
The alcohol capacity should be around 200ml/6.7 fl oz, and the product should be filled
with enough alcohol before ignition. If a small amount of alcohol is left in the product for a
while, vaporize alcohol will accumulate in the product and may spurt out when it is ignited.
• Return the bioethanol remaining inside the stove body to the BS-001 bioethanol
fuel container, and do not store it inside the stove body for a long period of time.
Use a funnel when returning because returning it directly may cause it to spill.
• As a guide, the alcohol capacity inside the body should be around 200 ml/6.7
fl oz, and the product should be filled with a sufficient amount of alcohol
before igniting. If a small amount of alcohol is left in the product, vaporized
alcohol will accumulate in the product and may spurt out when it is ignited.
