3. How can I setup wireless encryption?
Before setting up your wireless network with encryption you will need to decide your network
parameters:
- Network name (also called SSID)
- Network channel (can also be set as auto-channel)
- Wireless security type (WEP, WPA or WPA2)
- Security password
In the example that follows we will show how to configure the network with these parameters:
- Network name: MyWirelessLan
- Network channel: 10
- Security type: WPA2
- Security password: lasmcla
Step 1. Go to the submenu Wireless Settings/Basic and enter the Network Name (SSID) and
select the wireless frequency channel. After that click on Apply for the configuration to take
effect.
Step 2. Go to the submenu Wireless Setting/Security to select the security type and to enter
the wireless password. Click on Apply for the configuration to take effect.
