MAINTENANCE
Step 6.
Turn over the filter
cover and locate the groove
along the outside edge of
the raise surface. Inspect the
o-ring to find the flat edge.
One side will have a curve
and the other side will be
flat. Insert the flat side of the
o-ring down as you place into
the groove.
Step 7.
Turn the cover with
the o-ring back over and place
in the opening in the filter.
Step 8
. Screw the lid onto the
top of the tank. Make sure the
lid is secure or the filter will
leak.
Step 9.
Unplug your pump
from an electrical source
before connecting tubing.
Connect tubing from the
outlet of the pump to the
inlet of the filter (upper hole).
Return water to the pond by
connecting tubing to the outlet
of the filter and to the inlet of
a water feature or return to
the pond. You can reconnect
your pump into a properly
grounded electrical outlet at
this time.
Note: Pump and tubing are
not included.

• The 850 Gallon Pond Filter may require cleaning from time to time for
optimal performance.
• Before cleaning, always disconnect the pump from the power source
that is connected to the filter.
• Remove the filter pads and clean with water and when they are visibly
soiled.
• Return the filter pads with the fine filter pad (blue) in first, and the
coarse filter pad (black) on top.
NOTE: The bio-balls contain beneficial bacteria. At least once a year
the entire system should be disassembled and cleaned thoroughly
using warm water. This should not be done during the warm season as
it may take up to 8 weeks to re-establish the environmental balance.
