To connect the grounding wire when relocating the control panel
1 Use either the Phillips No. 2 screwdriver or the

" hex key to remove the existing ground
screw and the star washer on the X-Port 30 unit (see diagram below). If your unit has a
hex screw, discard the screw. You’ll replace it in step 2 with a Phillips screw from the
accessory kit. However, if your unit has a Phillips screw, keep it for reinsertion in step 2.
NOTE: Retain the star washer.
Remove this screw
2 Slip the larger ring-terminal end of the grounding wire around a No. 8-32 Phillips screw,
followed by the star washer. The ring terminal should touch both the star washer and the
screw.

3 Tighten the screw with a Phillips No. 2 screwdriver. Ensure you have a good connection
between the ring terminal and the washer.

4 Route the grounding wire to the control panel’s new location.
5 On the back of the control panel, remove the screw indicated below using the Phillips
No. 1 screwdriver.
