usiNG tHe ProteCtive Case
The protective case was designed to give you a safe and comfortable measuring experience. By using the case you can place the
instrument on your desktop or hang it from the wall at various angles. The case also allows you to attach the instrument to your belt and
can hold the measuring cords. To hang on the wall, snap out the small desktop stand and insert it into the holes at the top of the case.
rePLaCiNG tHe BatterY or tHe Fuse
A melted fuse is always the result of faulty operation (incorrect use of the instrument). If the battery is low, the display shows a battery symbol. At that stage
measurements are not reliable, it is therefore recommended to replace the battery as soon as possible.
To replace the battery and the fuse you need to remove the back cover.
Always make sure to insert the new battery with the correct polarity.
Battery type: 9V-os (6F22)

• NEVER CONNECT VOLTAGE LARGER THAN 1000 V DC OR 750 V AC, OR CURRENT LARGER THAN 10 A TO THE INSTRUMENT.
• NEVER CONNECT A SOURCE OF POWER WHEN THE INSTRUMENT IS IN THE “
Ω
” FUNCTION.
• WHEN MEASURING A RESISTOR THAT IS PART OF A CIRCUIT, ALWAYS POWER OFF THE CIRCUIT AND DISCHARGE ALL CAPACITORS.
• BE CAREFUL WHEN MEASURING VOLTAGE ABOVE 60 DC OR 30 AC.
• WHEN TAKING MEASUREMENTS ONLY CHANGE BETWEEN FUNCTIONS AFTER DISCONNECTING THE MEASUREMENT CORDS FROM THE CIRCUIT.
• KEEP IN MIND THAT CERTAIN DEVICES (SUCH AS TV SETS OR ADAPTERS) CAN SEND HARMFUL ELECTRIC SHOCKS TO THE INSTRUMENT THAT CAN
DAMAGE IT.
• WHEN MAKING MEASUREMENTS WHERE YOU DO NOT NEED THE MEASURING CORDS (TRANSISTORS, CAPACITORS, TEMPERATURE), ALWAYS UNPLUG
THE CORDS FROM THE INSTRUMENT AS A PRECAUTION TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK. WHEN YOU NEED THE CORDS AGAIN, REMOVE THE TRANSISTOR,
TEMPERATURE PROBE ETC. FIRST.
• THE INSTRUMENT MUST NOT BE CONNECTED TO AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT WHILE YOU ARE REPLACING THE BATTERY OR THE FUSE. ALWAYS DISCONNECT
THE MEASURING CORDS WHILE REPLACING THE BATTERY OR THE FUSE.
• DO NOT CONTINUE USING THE DEVICE IF IT IS DAMAGED.
