STEP 3
Lay out the bar and lines upwind of
the kite. Make sure the white side
(Slingshot logo) of the bar is facing
upwards. The red side of the bar should
be on your left. Walk out and separate
your lines twice to assure they are
not crossed. Lay your steering lines a
slightly wider distance than the width
of your kite. Lay out your flying lines in
between the steering lines.
STEP 4
Lay your kite with leading edge facing
the bar, on top of the center lines with
the outside lines laying to the outside
of the kite, 1 meter from the end of the
lines. Place sand, snow or a sand bag on
the leading edge of the kite to secure it.
STEP 5
Locate one side of the bridle and pull it
out from the rear of the kite. Make sure
there are no tangles by doing a visual
bridle check (see page 22), and separate
the front (leading edge) bridle from the
back (trailing edge) bridle and lay them
out on the beach.
STEP 6
Attach the white (right side) outside
steering line to the white trailing edge
pigtail of the bridle. Next attach the red
(left side) outside steering line to the red
trailing edge pigtail of the bridle.
STEP 7
Next, attach the right side grey flying
line to the grey leading edge bridle and
do the same for the left side grey flying
line and grey leading edge bridle.
