Important!
You can ride the bicycle when a specialized center confirms that the
bicycle is in optimal shape or when you no longer have doubts with
regards to the way your bicycle functions.
Any suspicious noise or change in the manner in which the bicycle
functions requires immediate intervention at a specialized center as
to avoid major faults which may expose you to various risks.
Check the bicycle’s overall condition before each use, as to avoid
potential irregularities such as loose screws, hit marks, deep
scratches, jiggling, or other mechanical faults.
Generally, we can say that the wheels dictate the size of the bicycle,
the maximum weight, the type of bicycle and the age category for
which it is destined.
As such, when we say we have a 26 bicycle, it is understood that
we have a bicycle with a 26 inch wheel (the same goes for 16, 20,
29 etc.).
The bicycles distributed by SLEI GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION are
recommended for adults or adolescents over 16 years of age, as
they have 26 inch wheels.
The information provided above is only informative and facilitates
choosing a bicycle, however, it is best that the final choice be made
after having tested the bicycle, prior to purchasing it.
NOTE!
The use of a bicycle which is not correctly prepared, or which is
no longer in its initial state of preparedness for use, represents a
major risk both for you and the ones around you.
CHECKING THE
WHEELS
NOTE!
For more information regarding the size of the wheels, their types
and complexity, please contact a specialized center.
Important!
If you notice a jiggle at the level of the fork attachments or suspicious
noises, contact a specialized center immediately for check-up.
CHECKING
THE RIMS
CHECKING
THE TIRES
The level of wear of the rims is dictated by the channel on the braking
surface. If this channel is no longer visible, it means that the level
of wear has been exceeded and that the rims need to be replaced.
If you see indentations or scratches on the braking surface, consult
a specialized center as to obtain the best solution in this case.
Lift up the wheel and turn it slowly as to check the tire’s appearance
on the lateral sides and on the treading side, throughout the entire
circumference. The tire must have the same appearance on its
entire surface. It must not have bulges, broken parts or parts which
are separate from the rubber mass and the texture underneath the
rubber must not be visible.
Do not forget to check that the tire’s position is the same throughout
the entire circumference.
