1) use a Lan cable to connect the IP Camera with LAN to connect. 2) go to
"IP Camera Tool" to the basic configuration to do.(details: 2.1) 3) Login on
the Camera homepage as Administrator.
4) go to DDNS Settings Page for "DDNS service".Click <Submit> and the unit restart.(details: 2.5.3) 5) you can
come in "Camera via the Internet" through the domain name.
3.5 Static IP user
"Static IP user" is not necessary for DDNS to use remotely. When the setting of IP Camera in LAN is complete, you can in
"Camera via the Internet" come through the WAN IP. The WAN IP you can obtain in 2 ways:
Obtain the WAN IP address via the Website
Use the same connection as for IP camera and give in:
http://www.whatismyip.com
. The current WAN IP address is displayed.
Obtain the WAN IP address through the Router
Take the LINKSYS WRT54G Router as an example,
1) Get the IP address of the router (LAN gateway address), user name and password for logon on the router of Network
Administrator,
2) Enter the LAN IP address of the router (LINKSYS WRT54G default: 192.168.1.1) into the address bar of IE for a logon to
the router; Open the Status page to the WAN address of the router to look up. In this example, the address: 116.25.51.115.
