Storage and Transport
Transport in original packaging only, store in a dry and cool place.

Care instructions
Just clean the device unit with a soft cloth, moistened with a mild soap solution. Dry cleaning, aggressive detergents
and abrasives may damage the surface.

Modification
A modification (alteration or conversion) of the HTV4600 indoor station is not allowed.

Safety
Electrical shock hazard to persons. Danger of burns, damage to device and malfunctions.
VDE 0100 and VDE 0800 guidelines must be complied during installation. (Germany)
Counter measures:

Before beginning any work, deactivate and disconnect all energized electrical wires.

Secure the switched off/disconnected lines against erroneous reconnection.

Use a measuring device to make sure that the wires are de-energized.

Cover up any adjacent, energized or conducting components.

All work and all electrical connections must comply with the national provisions for the country in question and
must be performed by appropriately trained personnel.
Mounting, installation, reparation and initial setup must be carried out by qualified elec
-
tricians only! When working on systems with 230 V alternating voltage the safety require-
ments of DIN VDE 0100 must be complied with.
The SKS planning guide (can be downloaded from www.sks-kinkel.de) must be followed during installation!
3 General information on the 6-wire Video BUS

Both the loop resistance towards the indoor stations (GND and +22V) as well as that towards the door station
must not be higher than 10 Ω.

The additional length of all cables between door station and distribution board must be 75 m or less, the addi
-
tional length of the indoor station furthest away and the distribution must not be more than 200 m.

The BUS power has to be between 19 V and 26 V.
✓
For BUS lines and all other functions described twisted wire pairs have to be used. We do recommend to use
J-Y(St)Y with a wire diameter of 0,8 mm. If needed the shield has to be statically grounded.

Up to three indoor stations can be configured with the same call address (parallel operation).
✓
When using star wiring or very long lines passive/active distributors are compulsory.
✓
It is possible to realise special functions (e. g. light signal systems, automatic door opening etc.) with additional
switch modules.
