11. Maintenance
It is important to clean your Skinera™ IPL device after each treatment. To clean
the device:

Unplug the device.
L
To clean the device including the treatment surface, wipe
with a clean, dry cloth. Use a cleaning fluid with no more than
70% alcohol, or another non abrasive cleaning fluid. Never use
acetone or other abrasive fluids, because they will damage your
device.

After cleaning, we recommend you store the device in its original
box.
E
Never immerse your Skinera™ IPL device or any of its parts in water.
12. Troubleshooting
Do not attempt to open or repair your Skinera™ IPL device. You may expose
yourself to dangerous electrical components or pulsed light energy and cause
serious harm to yourself. It will also void the warranty.
Problem
Checks
My Skinera™ IPL device
does not start.
Make sure the
adapter
is properly connected to the
device and that it is plugged into an electrical outlet
on the wall.
There is no light pulse
when the device
touches my skin.
Check that the device is connected and the ready
light is on. Make sure that the treatment surface is
evenly and firmly pressed to the skin.
It is also possible that your skin colour is too dark.
The skin colour sensor
light and the ready light
blink.
The skin colour is too dark.
One or more lights
blink.
The device has malfunctioned.
