Air Filter Cleaning
A dusty and/or blocked air filter element will cause the motorcycle to operate with lower-than-expected power
output, high fuel consumption and/or a high-fuel concentration of exhaust gas. The air filter should be inspected
and cleaned periodically, as per the recommended maintenance schedule.
1.
Remove the core of air cleaner.
2.
Clear any dust and dirt from the core of the air filter with compressed air (if available) or replace the core. Clean the
filter netting with warm water only and allow to dry before re-installing.
3.
Re-install the air filter assemblies, ensuring that the filters are in the correct position and sealed properly. If riding in
dusty environments, inspect, clean and/or replace the air filter more frequently.
