ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

4.5.1

Power Supply Connections

Refer to Section 4.5.8 for the location of rear panel receptacles and fuse holder.

WARNING: USING A FUSE WHICH IS NOT SPECIFIED FOR YOUR
EQUIPMENT CAN CAUSE IT TO BLOW THE INSTANT THE EQ 55 HAS
BEEN SWITCHED ON OR IT WILL NOT PROTECT THE EQUIPMENT IN
THE EVENT OF TROUBLE.

Transducer Connections

A three prong female plug is supplied for connection between the transducer and
the display cabinet. Refer to Figures 4.17 and 4.18 for assembly of the plug. Take
care not to lose the small screws.

Reassemble the plug, tightening the screws firmly. Both transducer receptacles
are wired for both HI and LOW frequencies, so careful attention should be paid to
the correct pin numbers. Push the plug, as far as it goes, into the three pin
receptacle marked "TRANSDUCER", and turn the coupling ring on the plug
clockwise till it stops. This completes the transducer connections to the display
cabinet.

WARNING: THE EQ 55 MUST NOT BE TURNED ON WITH THE
TRANSDUCER OUT OF THE WATER OR SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE
TRANSDUCER WILL OCCUR
