INSTALLATION

This section contains information and instructions for the packaging and ship-
ping of the 884-2. Included are procedures for unpacking and inspection, service,
shipping, battery installation, installation and care.

2.1

Unpacking And Inspection

Examine the shipping carton for obvious signs of damage. If shipping carton is in
good condition, inspect the Instrument for possible damage incurred during ship-
ment. If damaged, notify the carrier and supplier and do not attempt further use of
the Instrument. If the Instrument appears to be in good condition, read the Operator's
Manual in its entirety. Become familiar with the Instrument in the manual, then
proceed to check the electrical performance as soon as possible. Save the ship-
ping carton and packing materials for future storing or shipping of the Instrument.
