Setting the circulation pump
5.13.1 Selecting the operating mode and the charac-
teristic curve
The adjustment mode and the corresponding characteristic
curves are selected in the following way:
– press, once or several times, for roughly 1s the command button
(4) to select the adjustment mode and the corresponding charac-
teristic curve (LEDs 2 and 3 will signal the relevant operations).

CAUTION
The table shown below summarises the relationship
between the number of presses of the (4) button, the
signals emitted by LEDs (2) and (3) and the corre-
sponding characteristic curve.

5.13.2 Choosing the adjustments
Chose the adjustment mode on the basis of the most suitable
characteristics indicated below.
Constant speed (I, II, III)
I
III
II
Q/m
3
/h
H/m
Recommended for systems with stable
resistance that require a constant flow
rate.
The heat pump functions in three stag-
es, corresponding to the number of pre-
set fixed revolutions (I, II, III).
Variable differential pressure ∆p-v (I, II, III)
II
III
I
Q/m
3
/h
H/m
Recommended in case of heating sys-
tems with double delivery and radiators,
for the reduction of flow noises on the
thermostatic valves. The pump halves
the head in case of a reduction of the
flow rate in the piping network. Elec-
tricity can be saved since the head is ad-
justed on the basis of the required flow
rate and the lower flow speeds.
Three pre-defined characteristic curves
(I, II, III) from which to choose.
Constant differential pressure ∆p-c (I, II, III)
III
I
II
Q/m

/h
H/m
Recommended with radiant panels or
large-size pipes and for all applications
that lack variable characteristic curves
for the system (such as, for example,
calorifier charge pumps) and single-de-
livery heating systems with radiators.
The adjustment preserves the set head
regardless of the conveyed flow rate.
Three pre-defined characteristic curves
(I, II, III) from which to choose.

5.14.1 Bleeding the pump
The pump bleed function can be activated by pressing the com-
mand button 3 for at least (4) seconds; the pump will bleed au-
tomatically.
This function is used to bleed the pump ONLY and not the heat-
ing system.
5.14.2 Manual restart
The manual restart can be activated by pressing for at least 5
seconds the command button (4), which unlocks the pump after
extended periods of inactivity (e.g. after a summer shutdown) or
following a pump lock-out.
